Spring is one of my favorite times of the year, until fall rolls around. I guess I just like the drastic changes that happen in both of those seasons. One of my favorite things about spring is that the weather is starting to warm up (ok, here in Georgia it’s just HOT) making fresh fruits and veggies sound very appealing (No pun intended)! Nothing cools you down on a warm day like a fresh slice of watermelon and a glass of home made lemonade! I find that my family definitely eats better in the summer. I also find that fruits and veggies taste much better when they are in season. This got me thinking about when is the right time to buy which fruits and veggies? This thought sent me on a trek through the world wide web. I found some good info and one site that I particulary like!
Check it out! You can look and see which fruits and veggies are at their peak in each different season. There was also some good information on storing your fruits and veggies, general nutrution and RECIPES! I know I am really in need of a new batch of those!
Watch out Farmers Market, here I come!
