All purpose cleaners buying guide

By mudlark • November 5th, 2008

National Geographic’s Green Guide just published this guide to buying all-purpose cleaners. It is by far the most thorough post I’ve seen like it. It goes into what things like enzymes and surfactants are, and it talks about different certifications and what to look for. Head on over and take a look.

If you’re looking for some all-purpose products we recommend, check out these:

Barefoot Home Essentials – they work great and the scents are amazing. They’re natural and made by a mom. A little on the pricey side, but I just use mine occasionaly (like I said, the scents are amazing, and I wanted them to last) and my set lasted me about six months.

Shaklee BasicH2 – You can use this for nearly anything, from cleaning windows to floors to cars to pets – it’s even a great lice treatment! And even better news, it’s cheaper than cheap when you dilute it. One bottle will make you about 48 gallons of cleaner!
